My memorable sunset was at the Summer Solstice, when a few of us traveled to Nch’i-Wāna – the great Columbia River. I went for a solitary Sacred Drum Journey on the cliffs above Her beautiful waters. This pic was taken at our arrival.
As only a tiny puppy, this guy would never look you in the eye. He was born to be respectful and honoring of others ways of being.
At all of five pounds now, he has grown wise with his years. Pepper has learned to watch our every move, carefully studying how human beings live. He has learned how to comfort us when we are down, and how to make us laugh with his antics of dancing with his food and toys.
Now in his elder years, he looks us straight in the eye and communicates exactly what he wants us to know. Pepper has truly been the best friend, transmitting warmth and comfort in our home for a very long time and we don’t know what we’d do without him.
