I am feeling GREAT this morning! The withdrawal symptoms have passed and now we move into my favorite part of the fast.

Coming across a couple great quotes this morning, I am reminded of my “holy staff”…

“I have learned that the greater part of our
misery or unhappiness is determined not
by our circumstance but by our disposition.”
– Martha Washington

“Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a
matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited
for, it is a thing to be achieved.”
– Winston Churchill

A “holy staff” is choosing to hold in your mind, as much as you can, as often as you can, working up to having it resonate through your mind, even when working and talking, and living life…something that reminds you of what’s Real. A mantra, chant, favorite prayer or scripture verse, or just the name of God, however you say It, is enough to provide a holy staff. This is one of my most important tools…I re-member my-self to God, over and over and over again throughout my days and nights. It is in the re-membering that I make the choice, and my own disposition changes. Blessed day to you.
